Of Liberty, Michigan passed away on November 15, 2018 at the age of 98. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Clifford, two brothers and a sister. She is survived by her children, Sheila, Edward (Carol), Kay (Edwin) Annin, four grandchildren, Tracey (John Major), Steven (Cynthia), Brian Annin and Jill (Joseph) Brandeberry; also survived by eight great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Evelyn was born on March 21, 1920 in Parma, MI to Harry and Lula (Howe) Townsend. She attended Business College after graduating from Parma High School, worked until marrying Clifford on September 19, 1940, then worked with her husband at the Jackson Mobil Oil office until retirement. Evelyn was a lifetime member of Fern Leaf Chapter #66, the Order of the Eastern Star, and member of Liberty Belles. She loved her family, friends, cooking, making candy and her much loved pets. She will be greatly missed. The family wants to extend special thanks to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice, All About You Home Care and the private health care providers. All were so kind and caring, they filled the end of her life with compassion, caring and love. According to her wishes, cremation has been chosen. There will be a brief service followed by a luncheon at Cascades Manor House on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. to celebrate Evelyn’s life. Per Evelyn’s wishes, in lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to either Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice or to the Barkley and LuLu Foundation at Kibby Park Animal Hospital. Evelyn will join her husband, Clifford, at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Liberty at a later date.
