With broken hearts, we are sad to announce that Florence Marion Byers fell asleep in death on Monday, March 19th, 2018. Flo, most often called “Mammie” by everyone who knew her, was 83 years old. Mammie was born on November 8th, 1934 in Detroit Michigan to Roy & Marion Robertson. She is survived by 2 sisters: Marie & Sharon (brother-in-law Jerry), 2 children: Nancy (husband Fred) & Linda (husband Mark), 1 daughter-in-law: Sharon, 4 grandchildren: Victor, Tiffany, Jennie & Dustie, 5 great grandchildren and 2 great grand-pets. She is proceeded in death by her parents Roy and Marion, her sister Joan (brother-in-law Robert) and her son Gary. She loved them all very much. She was the most selfless, humble, strong, spiritual woman, and so beautiful on the inside and out. The most important thing in Mammie’s life was her relationship with her Heavenly Father, Jehovah God. She dedicated her life of service to Him in baptism on May 21st, 1966. For 52 years she gave her absolute all to helping as many as she could come to know the truths that she learned in the Bible. She wanted all to know that God’s name is Jehovah, and that the Bible gives a beautiful hope for the future of everlasting life on a paradise earth by means of God’s Kingdom. She knew this hope was true, and she spent 10 of her final years in special service sharing this truth with others.
Her memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Saturday, March 24th at 12:00pm. The address is 1500 Park Drive, Jackson MI 49203. www.jw.org
