In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Roy Steffen and grandson, Kenny Bobo. Fred was one of ten children born to Maude and Fred Sylvester Bobo on April 18, 1931 In Jasper, Alabama. He retired as a Tool & Dye Maker and Loved to Farm. He was a honest, kind, gentle, very hardworking, soft spoken man. Loving father and grandfather. Fred has won multiple national championships with his Beagle Dogs as well as he was a Beagler in the Hall of Fame, a national Hall of Fame Breeder, and a National Hall of Famer for producing Damns (females). He has been beagling since 1953 and was the President of the Detroit Beagle Club for about 25 years. Mr. Bobo will be laid to rest at East Rives Cemetery where a committal service will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends for visitation at Patience-Montgomery funeral home on Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. You will be escorted into the funeral home in limited numbers in accordance with CDC guidelines. All will be required to wear masks and maintain social distancing.
