

Of Jackson, passed away under the loving care of her family and Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the age of 96. In 1981 she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Carl Cavins; two children, Ted Cavins and Linda Vance; six brothers, Charlie, Vincent, Benjamin, Arthur, Harold and Howard Lienhart. She is survived by six children: Anna Watterson, Nancy Roland, David Cavins, Denis Cavins, Genevieve Downard, and Cecile Preece; twenty grandchildren; thirty-eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; brother, Lewis (Ramona) Lienhart; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, loving family members, and friends. She was born in Jackson on December 9, 1920 and attended Catholic School in Bunkerhill. She was a proud and hardworking homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was extremely important to her. She was a member of the Rosary Society at St. Stanislaus Kostka, where she also worked BINGO. She had a strong faith in the Lord and attended St. John Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Brian Lenz officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. There will be a rosary service held at 6:00 p.m. Mrs. Cavins will be laid to rest next to her husband at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
