

of Jackson, MI passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at the age of 90 while under the kind and compassionate care of the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice home. He is survived by his children, Henry Rinnert, Marilyn (Ken) Hill, John Rinnert, Lisa Rawlings and Kathy (Ambers) Samons Jr.; grandchildren, Mike, Heather, Brian and Missy Cram; Troy and Adam Schuler and Anna, Rachael and Michele Samons, great grandchildren, Brandon and Charlie Cram, Dominique, Pasley, Russell and Layla Schuler, Jordyn, Christopher, Lydia and Lily Chase as well as many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his children; Susan and Carl Rinnert; grandchildren, Michelle and Lori Hill; siblings, Robert and Rose Rinnert. George was born in Grant, Michigan on March 31, 1933 to Stanley and Esther Rinnert. After graduating high school, he proudly served in the United States Army serving in the Korean Conflict while stationed in Germany. After his honorable discharge he returned to Michigan and spent his career as a licensed mechanic. He had a strong faith in the Lord and attend Harmony Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with family, photography and going on long rides. He was a hard working and loving father and friend. He touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. According to his wishes cremation has been chosen and a gathering of family and friends will take place at 1:00 pm on Sunday September 17, 2023 at 104 North Lakeside Dr. Michigan Center, Michigan 49254.
