of Jackson, Michigan passed away on March 15, 2024. He was born on November 27, 1940 to Richard Sr. and Velma (Close) Barron. Preceded in passing by the love of his life Joan Barron, whom he met in 1954 and married 60 years ago. Jerry preceded in passing by his parents, and mother & father-in-law, Delbert and Blanche (Naylor) Hutchings, sis Beverly Worden, and brother Richard Barron Jr., and most recent beloved pet Missy. Jerry is survived by his children Kelley (Lisa) Barron, Kim (Dale) Kurtz. Jerry is also survived by 2 brothers, Leonard Barron, and Ed (Anna Conley) Barron, and two sisters Nellie (Thomas) Hedgecough, Nancy (Richard) Pickell and brother-in-law Jack (Peggy) Hutchings. He also leaves behind grandchildren Kellie (Mike) Barron, Megan (Cody) Barron, and Katelynn (Wes) Mory and Bridger (Danni) Gibbs and great grandchildren, Hayden, Lucas, Logan, Maverick, Alexa, Aubrey, Penelope, Adalyn and Gabriel. There are so many loving nieces and nephews and family friends, that he cherished very much. Jerry is a graduate of Leslie High School in 1958. A retiree from sales with Dolly Madison in Jackson, Michigan, and then became a Real Estate Agent specializing in Land sales and Development and enjoyed a second career retirement in 2015, working for his daughter at Exit Realty 1 st. Jerry enjoyed every aspect of the great out of doors, such as hunting, snowmobiling, camping, fishing and just spending as much time with family and friends as possible, and a lucky trip to the casino, as most recent as last week. Funeral services will be held at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 E. Michigan Ave. Jackson, Michigan 49202) On Wednesday March 20, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. Jerry will be laid to rest next to his wife Joan and her parents, at Munith Cemetery, Munith, Michigan. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. until service time.
