I had the privilege of having Mr. Hoskins for two classes.  He was a great teacher that connected with his students each in different ways to make them all feel special and truly cared about.  I remember even though it was not his job he read part of a story I had written in High School and even gave constructive feedback about it.  That gave me encouragement and helped me to continue to love to write.  He will be missed very much.  Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

RIP Mr. Hoskins. You were my freshman (1973) Teacher, Baseball coach and I'll never forget that little giggle you use to have when having a laugh.  You were my favorite baseball coach.  My deepest sympathy to the Hoskins family.

Jerry was a classmate at Richland Center High, and just a great guy!!  It was always great to see him at our reunions, and will be missed.  I told him recently he looked about 20 years younger than the rest of us!!

Seeing all of these tributes to my uncle is no surprise.  He was a good man: upbeat, friendly, humorous and generous.  He truly cared about those around him.  Uncle Gerald will be greatly missed.

Mr. Hoskins was a wonderful teacher. I would always say "when do we get to go to the next page " in our math class! Later I found out it was because he was waiting for me to totally understand  what we were learning in that chapter. He had the concept way back then of no child left behind! I loved Mr Hoskins. Jerry was a great teacher and friend.  I feel fortunate to have known and work with Jerry for 30 years.  My thoughts to his wonderful wife,Lynn and family. He will be missed.

I was so saddened to see we lost another great man. I don't know of anyone at Mich. Center that didn't like and respect Jerry.  My deepest sympathy Lynn and family.

No student will forget Mr. Hoskins, he always made me laugh, he liked to kid around and he was so great with the students. I was from the class of 1974 and still to this day have very fond memories of him, he made an impact...Prayers for his wife and family...

One of the two greatest middle school teachers I'd ever had! Class 1988..his influence and math teaching techniques is what made me fall in love with math. I still use his methods today teaching my special needs children. He was an incredible man and my prayers are with his family and friends. Thank You Mr. H for enhancing my life, thus my students!!

I'm so sorry to hear this! I haven't seen Mr. Hoskins in years although he was a teacher of mine at MCHS and he also worked with my mom.

Mr. Hoskins was both my 7th grade math teacher as well as my colleague later in life.  I will always remember his amiable disposition and his infectious laughter.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Mr Hoskins was one of those special teachers that students find themselves fortunate to have at least once in school!  I remember him fondly even after 20 years and am very sorry to hear of his passing.

A few years ago he sent me an e-mail and told me he had to say it one last time, it made an impression on me that he would remember after all these years. Mr Hoskins was my favorite math teacher.  I hated math and he argued he could change my mind.  He was right. I chose a career that i use math nonstop as a mortgage lender.  He also helped me get glasses and had a way of giving us all nicknames.  Of course i was known as GAB. He was an amazing man and will be truly missed.  Rip mr h. My heart goes out to the family.
