Grace Hill

Grace (Grabowski) Hill of Jackson, MI, passed away on April 30, 2026, at the age of 81, at Jacqueline House Assisted Living under Hospice Care. Grace was born on January 19, 1945, to Leonard and Stella (Plopa) Grabowski in Detroit, MI.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura (Russ) Boblet; son Brian (Teresa) Hill; grandchildren, Adam, Nicholas, & Olivia Boblet, Brooke & Kara Hill; brother, Leonard (Jill) Grabowski; special friend of 14 years, Alan "Dick" Allread. In addition to her parents, Grace is preceded in death by her sister, Lenore Stewart.

Grace devoted 35 + years of service to WA Foote Memorial Hospital, retiring as Department Manager of Respiratory Therapy. Her career reflected a quiet professionalism and a faithful commitment to the patients in her care and to the many colleagues who worked alongside her.

Beyond her work, Grace found joy in the gentle, meaningful pursuits that made life beautiful. She loved watercolor painting and proudly entered several works in the Jackson County Fair, earning multiple ribbons. She also enjoyed gardening and playing the piano, and she delighted in traveling—especially to the Great Smokey Mountains, a favorite destination. Grace enjoyed oil pastels, a fondness for dogs, and, above all, a deep love for her family.

The family will have a private memorial gathering at a later date.
