Graham was born April 23, 1926 in Demopolis, Alabama, the only son of Willie and Clara Allen. He passed away Thursday August 25, 2011 age 85. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Victoria, son Larrie C., mother Clara V., father, Willie C. and sister Susan Tarrant. Graham is survived by his daughters Tina (Henry) Grayson, Clara (Del) Bacon, and Karen L. Allen. Grandchildren Alan (Anne) Grayson, Catherine (Avis) Roper, G. Adair, Kameron and Michael Allen, great grandchildren Miles and Kendall Grayson, Grayson and Sydney Roper and A’myia Allen, sisters Ella Mae Mims, Doris Gooden, Leatrice Chapman and Marian Andrews, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Graham retired from the U.S. Navy in 1956 and ultimately settled in Jackson, Michigan with his family after a short stay in Detroit, Michigan. In April 1989, he retired after more than 30 years of service with the Michigan Department of Corrections as the Director of Food Services. Graham was an active member of Civitan International and Cornerstone Christian Church. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #246 (Sauk Trail). Funeral services will be held at Cornerstone Christian Church 2395 W. High St. Jackson, Thursday September 1, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Michael Mason officiating. Burial Woodland Cemetery. Viewing at the funeral home Wednesday 2-8 P.M. and family hour Thursday 10:00 A.M. until service time at the church.
