Helen M. Baker

Of Jackson, MI passed away on December 26, 2020 at the age of 100. Helen was born on May 20, 1920 in Jackson to parents Corless and Margaret French. She was married to Buck Young until his death and then to Edward Baker. Helen worked for 40 years as a telephone operator for AT&T. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and enjoyed bingo, euchre, reading, and coloring. Helen is survived by children Jacklyn Fullerton and Karyl Baker; stepdaughter Donna Lashley, daughter-in-law Doris Young; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husbands Buck Young and Edward Baker, children Karl Young and Karen Baker, and special friend Lynnwood Wimple. Family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home 406 First Street Jackson MI with a graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 31,2020 at 3:00pm at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, 9900 N. Meridian Rd., Pleasant Lake, MI 49272.
