Of Jackson, Michigan passed away on February 7, 2026 at the age of 84. Ida was born in Jackson, Michigan on August 12, 1941 to parents James Stafford and Norva Weaver. She was married to Jack Cherry for many years. Ida loved being around family and enjoyed watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. She enjoyed coloring and knitting. She was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Ida is survived by her sons Will (Kim) Stafford, Roscoe (Amy) Rose, and Kevin Smith; grandchildren Christina Bycraft, Rocky Rose, and Travis Rose; great grandchildren Jade Bycraft, Adaline Bycraft, Jamy, and Dalton; siblings James Stafford, Virgilene, Mary Jane, Peggy, Donna Jean; and lots of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Cherry, and siblings Virgilene, Peggy, Mary Jane, and James Stafford. Cremation has been chosen with a celebration of life held at a later date.
