Of Jackson, died on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the age of 69. He is survived by his wife, Catherine McAllister; children, Karen and Jim; grandchildren; one great grandchild; six siblings, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was born in Detroit and was a Merchant Marine after graduating High School. He enjoyed a wide variety of activities, especially helping others. He was a talented man; adept in many work areas. He was a secular Franciscan, St. Francis Fraternity and member of St. John the Evangelist Parish for many years, where a service honoring his life will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Jim Shaver officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home in Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7:00p.m. He will be laid to rest at St. John’s Cemetery.
