Jane Ann Gibbs

Of Jackson, MI passed away July 30, 2023 at the age of 90 with family by her side. Jane was born in Jackson MI on April 17, 1933 to parents Raymond and Helen Leona Hemry. Jane married the love of her life Gerald L. Gibbs, Sr. on June 7, 1952. Jane was a homemaker, caregiver of Pamela Jo Gibbs, and mother to Jerry, Pam, Robin, and Cynthia. She was also a loving grandmother to 7 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She worked for a time at Jackson Typesetting. Jane is survived by her children Gerald L. (Joanne) Gibbs, Jr., Robin Roberts, and Cindy (Gary) Bolen; siblings Larry Hemry, Evelyn Minder, Eileen Stuard, and Kathryn (Ernie) West; grandchildren Angela Phelan, Cara Lee, James Kontos, Amanda Sari, Andrew Gibbs, Philip Greiner, and Tyler Roberts; and 15 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Gerald L. Gibbs, Sr., daughter Pamela Jo Gibbs, siblings Terry G. Hemry and David Hemry, son-in-law Doug Roberts, sisters-in-law Judy Hemry and Patsy Hemry, and grandparents Floyd and Edith Hemry, brothers-in-law Charles "Bud" Minder and William "Bill" Stuard. A celebration of Jane's life will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 1:00 PM with visitation from 12:30 PM until time of service at Hillcrest Memorial Park Oak Chapel, Jane will be laid to rest next to her loving husband Gerald.
