Janice was born March 7, 1947 in Brookport, IL. and passed December 20, 2016 in Jackson at age 69 from cancer. Janice graduated from East Jackson in 1965 and later got her Associates degree at Lansing Community College. She worked at Consumers Energy for 34 years. She was involved in the church guild at South Jackson Baptist and enjoyed being in the Herb Club as well as greenhouse and farm with her husband James (deceased). She had a very active social life with lots of loving family, friends and neighbors. Her biggest pride and joy were her grandchildren; (natural) Madeline, (step) Elizabeth, Tim, Sam, Kegan, Abby, Adam, Reba, Maria, Danny, Drew, Carrie, Max and Alex. She was survived by her children Laura Lies (Karsten), Joseph Piotrowski (Ron), and six wonderful step-children and their spouses; sister in law and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Ira and Iris Risinger and her brothers David and Kenny. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home, Friday, Dec 23, 2016 at 3 pm.
