Jason Matthew Metcalf

Of Jackson, Michigan passed away on September 4, 2025, at the age of 51. Jason was born in Jackson, Michigan on October 11, 1973 to parents Geraldine Griffith and David Metcalf. Jason worked at Elderly Instruments in Lansing, Michigan for over 25 years. He also had played guitar in several bands since Middle School and throughout the years. Jason is survived by his significant other of 22 years Jennie McNitt; stepdaughter Lyndsey McNitt; mother Geraldine Griffith, stepmother Candace Metcalf; siblings Kristy Griffith, Jarrod (Sarah) Griffith, Emily Metcalf, and Michael Metcalf; and two nephews and one niece. He is preceded in death by his father David Metcalf, grandfather John Branham, and stepfather Roger Griffith. A celebration of Jason's life will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Burden-Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 East Michigan Avenue, Jackson, MI) with Terry Riddle officiating. Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 11:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Jason Will be laid to rest at Roseland Memorial Gardens.
