Jennie Kate McNitt

Jennie McNitt was born April 22, 1972 in Jackson, Michigan to Darlene and Robert McNitt. After a courageous battle with cancer, Jennie passed away October 18, 2025. Jennie was preceded in death by her significant other of over 30 years, Jason Matthew Metcalf; her grandfather Jack Dresser; and grandmother Alberta J. (Skinner) Dresser. Jennie is survived by her father Robert Lewis McNitt; mother Darlene Elizabeth (Dresser) McNitt; daughter Lyndsey Elizabeth McNitt; brother Blair J. (Lori Jermay) McNitt; other extended family, and dear friends. She was an amazing mother, life partner, daughter, sister, aunt and a friend to many. Jennie was a graduate of Jackson High School Class of 1990, attended Jackson College for her Associates degree, and worked in customer service relations for Chemetall and other companies before that. Jennie was an avid music fan, especially rock & roll. She loved all animals, and was the life of every party. Jennie was an angel on this Earth, and now she an angel in Heaven, hand in hand with the love of her life, Jason. In lieu of flowers, Jennie's family would be highly appreciative of any and all donations at this time. A visitation for Jennie will be held Monday, October 27, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Burden-Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home, 1806 East Michigan Avenue, Jackson, MI 49202. A funeral service will occur Monday, October 27, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 1806 East Michigan Avenue, Jackson, MI 49202. A burial will occur Monday, October 27, 2025 from 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM at Roseland Memorial Gardens, 3744 Brooklyn Rd., Jackson, MI 49203.
