Of Jackson, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2025, at the age of 31. Jeremy was born in Jackson, Michigan, on January 31, 1994, to parents Kurt and Christine Gallup. Jeremy lived a life fueled by creativity, laughter, and connection. A remarkably talented bassist, he poured his heart into every performance, playing countless shows across the state with a variety of bands who cherished his musicianship and his gentle presence. Music was his language, and through it, he formed friendships, memories, and moments that will be remembered for years to come. He had a deep love for stand-up comedy and found joy in the kind of laughter that brings people together. At home, he could often be found immersed in video games, always choosing Princess Peach as his character of choice—a small but perfect reflection of his playful spirit. Jeremy was a sensitive soul who touched people simply by being himself. His kindness, his warmth, and his ability to make others feel seen will remain part of every life he crossed. And in true Jeremy fashion, he even gave his car a personality of its own—affectionately naming it Mr. Pickles and treating it like a trusted companion on his many adventures. Jeremy will be missed by his brother Andrew Gallup, sister-in-law Rebecca Gallup, nephew Kurt Gallup, niece Alexis Gallup, grandparents Arthur and Beth Vicary, and his beloved cat Mr. Pickles. He is preceded in death by his parents Kurt and Christine Gallup. Cremation has been chosen, with a celebration of life held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jackson County Animal Shelter (3370 Spring Arbor Road, Jackson, MI 49203) for Jeremy's love for animals.
