Jesse Duane Daugherty

Of Jackson, MI went home to be with his Abba Father on Sunday July 28, 2013 at the age of 24. He passionately dedicated his life to God, ministering on several mission trips and most recently serving as youth pastor at the Father’s House church and The Dream Center in Jackson. Jesse loved deeply and impacted his friends and family like no one else could, often lifting up others with his powerful words of wisdom or a helping hand. He is survived by grandmothers Edith Burkhart and Pearl Howard; parents Duane and Gaylene; brothers/sister Dustin Holmstrom, Dana (Brett) Parent, Kyle (Abby), Isaac (Amanda), and Ian; and nephews/nieces Brinley, Reed, and Keagan Holmstrom and Will and Lucas Parent. He was preceded in death by grandfathers, Paul Burkhart, Sanford Daugherty, and Don Howard as well as brother, Jayson Holmstrom. A celebration of Jesse’s life will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 12:00 p.m.at the Father’s House/Dream Center (730 Tomlinson St, Jackson, MI 49203). The family will receive friends at the worship center for visitation on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. as well as on Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 11am until the time of service. Donations can be made on Jesse’s behalf to The Dream Center, his beloved community center where he passionately served the children and families he cared so much about.
