

Age 60, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, November 11, 2021 following a long courageous battle with cancer and renal disease. John is survived by his sister, Jeanna Roderick; special niece and nephew, Lynelle and Russell Shong and ‘his brother from another mother’, Art Whitehead. He is also survived by numerous extended family and friends. John enjoyed NASCAR racing and attended several races. He was an avid fisherman and even caught a few that didn’t get away. John had many friends that he enjoyed playing pranks on. He had a robust life that he lived to the fullest. He had a great sense of humor and was always making others laugh. John enjoyed traveling and was fortunate to have seen all 50 states with the exception of Hawaii. John was preceded in death by his parents, Carl D. and Betty J. (Dixon) Waller along with his brother, Glenn Waller. The family would like to thank Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion shown to John and his family during the final stage of his life. A celebration of John’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Cornwell officiating. Family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, November 15, 2021 from 6:00 PM - 8 PM at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 East Michigan Ave Jackson).
