Juan Ignacio Zamora

Juan I Zamora of Jackson, Michigan, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the age of 70, at Henry Ford Allegiance Health with his daughter, youngest son and oldest grandson by his side. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith L. Zamora; son, Jorge Zamora; granddaughter, Kiara Zamora, siblings; Christina Nazzario, Aurora Galvan, Luis Zamora and parents; Ignacio and Dorotea Zamora. Juan is survived by his three children, Juan I. (Jennifer) Zamora II, Elizabeth A. (Sean) Zamora, Juan I. (Kaylee) Zamora III; eight grandchildren, Selena (Johnathon) M. Mix, John P. (Maira) Zamora, Jesslyn R.E. Petty, Jxavier J. Petty, Ignacio K. Petty, Ayden B. Zamora, Aleena J. Zamora, Mirajane E. Zamora; three great grandchildren, Asta McGowan, Finley McGowan and Nico S. Zamora-Cervantes; and siblings, Maria Valdez, Amador Zamora, Andres Zamora, Miguel Zamora and Oralia Camarillo. Juan resided in Jackson for 44 years, where he was devoted to his family, which he solely held together after the passing of his wife. He was employed by the City of Jackson parks and recreation department for many years until his retirement. Upon retirement, he devoted most of his time to his family and loved ones. Juan touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
