Karen Elaine Booth, 74, passed away on October 8, 2026 in Jackson, MI. Born June 29th, 1952, in Jackson, MI, to Jean (Clemons) and Dayrl Booth. From the beginning, her gentle spirit and thoughtful heart carried her through the world. It was shown through all the ways she was deeply attentive to the people and moments placed in her care. She possessed a kind of quiet strength, the kind found in someone who was steady, observant, and thoughtful.
Karen worked as a supervisor for the State of Michigan office. She brought to her days a kind of calm diligence, one that leaves things better than they were found. In work, as in life, she maintained a presence that could be relied upon. You could say she was measured, considerate, and quietly sure in her efforts and achievements.
Away from the demands of the day, Karen found joy in the simple, satisfying rhythms that make a home feel lived in. She loved garage saling, delighted by the small discoveries and the stories objects seem to carry. She loved quilting and crafting, turning time and patience into something warm, useful, and lasting. And she also loved cooking and baking her favorite dishes. Wonderful delights made for sharing, for gathering, and for comfort. In these everyday arts, her inner nature shone through. A cherished life expressed through care, through hands busy with making, and through thoughtfulness offered without fanfare.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Jean and Dayrl Booth, and her brother, Randy Booth. She is survived by her sisters, Donna (Charles) Lee, and Linda (Larry) Donihue; her brother, David (Dorothy) Booth; and several cherished nieces and nephews, who will carry forward the memory of her gentle ways, her steady presence, and the quiet love she so faithfully gave.
Services to be announced at a later date.
