

Kenneth Eugene Dusseau, 88, of Jackson, Michigan passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at home surrounded by family. Ken was born to Aloysius Dusseau and Edna (Ravery) Dusseau on November 13, 1937 in Dayton, Ohio. Ken grew up in Lansing, Michigan with three siblings, Lowell (June), Duane (Bonnie), and Deanna (Jerry) Lorencen while his father managed the Woolworth’s store in Lansing. Ken graduated from the University of Detroit in 1959 with a bachelor’s degree, and from Michigan State University with an M.B.A in 1961. Ken served in the Michigan National Guard from 1960 to 1966. Ken enjoyed his veteran’s discount at Bob Evans restaurant.
With his ex-wife Jane Smith, Ken raised three children, Marjorie (Matt) Skowronski, Joel Dusseau, and MaryJo (Brad) Banasik. Ken and Jane relocated to Phoenix, Arizona in 1972 where they raised their family. In 1977, Ken obtained his C.P.A. license.
Ken worked in hospital administration before he found his calling as a business owner. Ken started an accounting business in 1994 which continues to be run by his business partner Jason Makris in Phoenix, Arizona as Dusseau & Makris, P.C..
Ken had many hobbies and friends throughout his life. Ken enjoyed sailing in San Diego, California, and he enjoyed restoring and showing American muscle cars, including a 1965 Mustang convertible and a 1972 Oldsmobile 442. Later in his life, Ken restored English motorcycles and Cushman Eagle motor scooters.
Ken is predeceased by his parents, and by his brother Lowell and sister Deanna. Ken is survived by his three children, seven grandchildren (Ryan Hammond, Brennon Hammond, Emily Hall, Madison Livengood, Mackenzie (Joseph) Taylor, Rebekah Banasik, and Rachel Banasik), and two great grandchildren (Kai Hammond and Everly Hammond). Ken is also survived by his brother Duane, brother-in-law Jerry and sisters-in-law Bonnie and June, and multiple nephews and nieces.
A private family service will be held on June 27, 2026.
