Lalah Marie Jolley Piepkow

Of Jackson, went to be with Jesus, on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the age of 77, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. She will be remembered by her husband of 55 years, Clare Walter Piepkow, whom she married on August 8, 1959; two children, Cheryl (Roger) Longoria and Timothy (Dawn Newbill) Piepkow; eight grandchildren, Meridith Longoria, Jenna (Ryan) Altenberndt, Ethan, Heath, Seth, Thaniel, Worth, and Wyeth Piepkow; sisters, Carlene (James) Wiel, Virginia (Don) Hein, Carole Fairman (John) Zdanowitz, and Lorraine (Jon) Rice; sister in-law, Nancy (Kenny) Maitland; and brother in-law, Bud Garred. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma Dawn (Parshall-Jolley) Gould and Frank Jess Jolley; step-father, Walter Gould; sister and brother in-law, Gloria and Raymond Hath; and sisters-in-law, Mary Garred and Betty Noakes. Lalah was a proud homemaker; loving mother, grandmother, and wife. She had a strong faith and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene where a celebration of her life will be held on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 11:00AM with Pastor Phil Stout officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 to 8PM and again at the church from 10:30AM until the time of service. She will be laid to rest at Roseland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
