Leonard Caddell accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized and became a member of Second Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor A.P. Williams where he participated in various youth programs.
Leonard attended the Jackson Public Schools and graduated from Jackson High School in 1987. He spent most of his adult life in Louisville, KY where he worked in retail management until he came to live in Byron Center, MI.
He joined New Covenant Community Church of God in Kentwood, MI under the leadership of Pastor Terry Dudley until his transition. Ever since he was a child, he has always loved sports – basketball, baseball, and football – a triple threat. Leonard loved working, fishing, sports, arts, designing electronics, cooking. We will miss his falling off the bone BBQ ribs!
Leonard made his transition, Sept. 11, 2021. He leaves to cherish his sweet memory: his sweet wife and best friend, Carma; eight children: Marseon, Leonard, Lanesha, Aujanae, Jonae, Corey, Sasha, and Olivia; parents, Dorothy and Henry Lyons; six siblings, Zeb (Chalotta), Natasha, Valerie, Cory, Nicole (Derrick) and Renata; six grandchildren; god parents, Vicki and Howard Wade; god brother and sister Ashley and Bryce; mother-in-law Frances Adams; best friend, three friends from youth, Gerald, Yaphet and Yoseph; and a host of relative and friends.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Anthony and Jonathan; one brother, Alexander, Uncle/Grandad Leonard (aka Doc) Caddell. Leonard will be greatly missed.
