Linda Louise Sharpshair

Of Rives Junction, MI passed away on November 24, 2024 at the age of 76, with loving and devoted husband and family at her side after a nearly 5 year battle with cancer. Linda was affectionately known as Oma by all that loved her. She was born in Eaton Rapids, Michigan on May 22, 1948. She was the daughter of Sheldon and Maxine (Rose) Shepardson. She married Jack Sharpshair on October 22, 1965. They were married for 59 years and had 3 children. Linda is survived by her husband Jack Sharpshair, daughters Shelly Sue (Tom) Samons, Jacquelyn Louise Sharpshair, Joann Lynn (Ernie) Kraus, 10 grandchildren Steven, Eric (Tasha), Keith, Ashley, Josiah, & Faith Samons, Dustin Kingsbury, Amanda (Dylan) Williams, Joshua, and Tyler Kraus, 4 great grandchildren, Theoren, Emmeline, Evangeline, and Thaddeus Samons, sister Phyllis (Leo) Warren, Uncle Jim Rose, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Sheldon & Maxine (Rose) Shepardson, and brother Russ Shepardson. Linda attended Leslie High School. While the daughters were growing up, Linda was an active leader in both Girl Scouts & 4-H. She was employed by Northwest Adult Education and Park Forest as a craft teacher for 30 plus years. Linda was a "crafty" lady, she could copy, reproduce, or make something out of anything. Her world centered around doing for others and making them happy. She enjoyed teaching all the grandkids to ride a two wheel bike (with the same bike), teaching them to climb trees, play cards, board games, and watching movies with them. Collecting Hallmark figurines and Christmas ornaments was one of her passions. A celebration of Linda’s Life will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 East Michigan Ave)., with Pastor Rich Zawadzki officiating. Family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 2:00PM - 4:00PM and 6:00PM – 8:00PM at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Henry Ford Home Hospice Jackson (100 East Michigan Suite 400 Jackson Michigan 49201).
