Of Jackson, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verlin Turner; great grandson, Denzel Charleston; brothers, Joe Betts, Gene Betts and sisters, Ida Tuttle, Helen Brown and Alice Kiraly. She is survived by her children, Vickie Swiontek and Andrew (Mary) Swiontek; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren, sister, Ruth Conant, as well as nieces and nephews. Lucille was born in Jackson where she lived and raised a family. She was employed at the Rolling Pin Bakery and Kuhl’s Bell Tower. She was a working woman and enjoyed helping others with their outside chores, snow shoveling and lawn care. A service honoring her will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Roseland Memorial Gardens.
