Lyn Deborah Lantz
August 31, 1947 – October 26, 2018
Of Jackson, lost her battle with A.L.S. at the age of 71, while under care of her family and the staff at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home on Friday October 26, 2018. She will be remembered by her husband, Thomas Lantz; daughters, Michelle (Scott) Howard, Karen Baker and special friend Eric Terrian; son, Brian (Kimberly) Szczesny; five grandchildren, Nikki (Thomas) Goodin, Sammi Howard, Lindsey (Nathan) Berkshire, Becca Szczesny and Josh Baker; siblings, Sue (Monte) Hardy and Scott (Leila) Passman; mother-in-law, Rose Anne Lantz as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins in England and loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Gail Passman. Lyn was born to Barry and Pauline Passman on August 31, 1947 in Worcester Park, Surrey England. She came to America with her parents on February 7, 1948 and is a graduate of Jackson High. Lyn worked at Fields Department store for many years until it closed. She then tended bar and was everyone’s favorite bartender in the area. She was a kind and loving woman and was always willing to help others when she was able. She had a special place in her heart for all creatures great and small. She touched the hearts and lives of many and will be greatly missed. A celebration of her life will be held at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 12:00 noon. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to A.L.S. of Michigan, Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice or a local Animal Charity.
