Of Jackson, went to join the Lord and her family, on January 07, 2021. Margaret is survived by Husband Royal Balch; three children, Laura (Ron) Rotarius, Marcia (Jim) Dimitry, and Curt Balch; five grandchildren, Michael, Jeffrey, Melinda, Adam, Kyle and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Helen Christie (Bill) Montgomery. Margaret was born on October 13, 1929 to Walter and Lillian (Pitt) Larsen at East Kildonan, Manitoba, Canada. In 1949, Margaret accompanied her parents to San Diego, CA, where she met her husband, Royal Curtis Balch. They married on Sept. 15, 1951 in Winnipeg and relocated to Columbus, Ohio for two years. They then moved to Jackson, MI in 1953, raised a family. She was employed by Consumers (Power) Energy for over 30 years, in the Department of Stenography, retiring in 1991. She and Royal were active members of Brookside Methodist Church (Jackson, MI) and were avid bridge players. They moved to Arbor North Living Center in January, 2018. Her sociable and loving personality will be greatly missed by family and many friends. The family will receive friends at Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (406 First Street Jackson, 49201) on Jan. 16, 2021, with visitation from 11:00 AM - 12:00 noon, followed by funeral services at 1:00 PM conducted by Kyle Bucholz, Careline Hospice.
