Of Jackson MI passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at the age of 86. Marianne was born in Lakewood, OH on April 5, 1937 to parents Richard Carl and Celia Mary (Moniak) Mayer. She married the love of her life of 54 years, Audie Clay Emberton on January 21, 1954 in Angola, IN. Marianne loved hanging out with her grandchildren. She enjoyed painting birdhouses, playing cards, including Euchre and Pinochle, and loved going to the casino. Marianne is survived by sons Michael (Sue) Emberton, Charles "Vic" (Linda) Emberton, and Guy (Shelly) Emberton, Sr.; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. A celebration of her life will be on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home, 1806 E. Michigan Ave., Jackson, MI 49202. Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 11:00 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hillsdale County Senior Services Center/Perennial Park, 320 W. Bacon Street, Hillsdale, MI 49242.
