Maury Wills Sigers

Passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022 at the age of 61. Maury was born to Jessie Pearl Sigers and Otis Sigers, Jr., whom have preceded him in death. He will be remembered by his daughter, Unique Sigers; grandson, Alexander Drew; sisters, Viola Sigers and Jennifer Sigers; brother, Otis Sigers III; nieces, Natasha Hester and Nikki Sigers; nephew, Malcom Sigers as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; loving family members and friends. Born and raised in Jackson, MI. Maury graduated from Jackson High School in 1978 and went on to pursue a college education at Siena Heights College. Maury was employed with the Jackson County Prison system and over time returned to the Jackson County School District to work as a paraprofessional up until his retirement. Maury loved to watch ALL sports. He was very fond of our Michigan teams, yes, even the Lions :) While a bit of homebody, Maury loved to be around people. He was always laughing and making jokes; never shy. All those who knew him saw him as a warm and loving person, “a good person” as he liked to refer to himself. Maury had a heart of gold and wore it proudly. He made friends wherever he went.

A Celebration of his life will be held at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (1806 E. Michigan Ave. 49202) on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. with Reverend Aaron Cobbs officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service.
