Of Jackson, MI, age 57, went home to be with her Lord on January 4, 2019. “For the battle is not yours it’s the Lord's” (2Chron 20:15) is a verse Michelle lived by. She was truly a solider throughout her journey of life. Michelle was born to parents, Eugene Gossett and Mary Fay Johnson on June 28, 1961 in Jackson, MI. She attended Jackson and Albion public schools. Continuing her education, she went on to earn her degree from Jackson Community College with a degree in Office Administration. Before retiring, Michelle spent 28 years working for the Jackson Police Department. Michelle was preceded in death by both her parents, Eugene Gossett and Mary Fay Johnson. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her 9 siblings; four children: Michael (Angela), Frankie, Felicia and Colin; 6 beloved grandchildren and one on the way. Michelle spent a lot of her time loving and serving the Lord. You could always find her attending or working for her church, Faith Nation. She always showed everyone that crossed her pathway genuine love and compassion. Always smiling and going out her way to make others feel special. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11am with family hour beginning at 10:30 am at Faith Temple Word of Faith Ministry (1020 N. Blackstone Jackson, Michigan). Viewing will be held at Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 4 - 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home.

It is with heart felt sorrow that I share in the loss of your mother and love one,I pray the love of God the Father son and the holy spirit will ease the burden during this time.No more sorrow no more pain she has her crown on now in a land where we will never grow old!I am so sorry I can't be with you to celebrate her home going this morning! Michelle was my dear friend, my prayer warrior, my sister, my children’s aunt, my heart for almost 30yrs. My heart is simply broke at the thought, I can’t have her by my side, in this crazy thing called life.
