Mrs Milda Gladys Hopkins

Of Jackson, MI passed away on March 6, 2012 at the age of 101. Milda was born on December 15, 1910 in Manchester, MI. She married Mark Hopkins and was married for over 70 years. She and her husband owned the Sips n’ Snacks restaurant for many years. Milda was a volunteer for the Red Cross and Foote Memorial Hospital. She loved to crochet, gardening, playing cards with friends and family, going to bingo, cooking, and she loved her family. She is survived by her daughters, Marlene Sharrer and Miriam (Charles) Sargent; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark; son, Michael; grandson, Daniel. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on March 12, 2012 at 11:00 am with Rev. Karen Kelley officiating. Visitation Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 2-4 pm and again on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service. The family would like to say “Thank You” to the Ridgecrest Health Campus for their love and care to Milda. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Southern Care Hospice or Cascades Human Society.
