

Of Jackson, Michigan passed away on October 29, 2013 at the age of 68. He was born on August 27, 1945 in Salyersville, Kentucky to Herman and Roseie Hackworth. Married Earsie (Brown) on July 1, 1967 in Stockbridge Michigan. Orville worked for 34 years at Diecast Corporation in Jackson. He was the best deer hunter in the entire world, loved being outdoors, an avid gardener and walker with his sidekick Gidget. He is survived by his wife of 46 year Earsie; daughter, Patricia (Scott) Hurley; grandchildren, Nekiya Hurley (James Sievers) and Colter Hurley, Audrey; siblings, Aron (Pearly) Hackworth, Glenn (Betty) Hackworth, Marvin (Marine) Hackworth, David (Barb) Hackworth, Dean (Molly) Hackworth, Joy (Rodger) Davis, Vicki (Rick) Ousley; many nieces and nephews and his little sidekick Gidget AKA “Doodle Bug”. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Maxine Gullett; brothers, Donald Hackworth and Leon Hackworth. A celebration of Orville’s life will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 2:00pm at the funeral home with visitation on Thursday October 31, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm and again on Friday from 1:00pm until time of service. He will be laid to rest at Leoni Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Carelink of Jackson.
