Patricia Jean Clement

Of Clarklake was lovingly taken to her heavenly home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the age of 83, while under the loving care of the staff at the Jackson County Medical Care Facility, Allegiance Hospice and her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Murriel E. Clement; son, Dennis E. Clement; grandson, Chad A. Baker and sister, Wanda Young. Patricia is survived by her daughters, Deborah (David) Fortriede of Texas and Cheryl (Larry) Baker of Clarklake; daughter-in-law, Donyce Clement of Nebraska; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren and four sisters, Betty Challender, Shirley Kleinschmidt, Lillian Walker of Jackson and Jeanette Volquardsen of Nevada. Patricia was born February 12, 1931 in Hammond, Indiana to Roscoe and Martha (Kriegmus) Collins. She moved with her family to Jackson around 1940 and met her husband in 1946. They were married in 1949 and shared 59 years together. She worked for Michigan Bell and Gilbert's Candy Company when she was young. In 1974 she began her own company called Superior Answering Service. In 1981 she and Murriel moved to Tennessee where she worked with the Stewart County Red Cross Chapter during 1983-1984. She completed her instruction in Nursing Assistant in 1984. In 1991 she and Murriel moved back to Clarklake. She taught Sunday School for many years at the Cornerstone Christian Church (2395 W. High Street Jackson, 49203) where a Homegoing service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 11:00A.M. with Reverend Michael Mason officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home, Friday evening from 6 to 8P.M. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital will be appreciated.

The family is comforted by Patricia’s faith in Jesus Christ. We know she is rejoicingwith family and friends and is looking forward to the day when we all will be together again.
