Thank you to everyone who supported us on December 9 & 10, 2014. Your prayers, cards, phone calls, signing the guestbook, and attendance at the cemetery; and again in the Spring of 2015 when Paul was honored for his service in the National Guard. 

Many thanks to Carl, Hilda, Tonya and the neighbors  who were there from day 1 to the time Paul was put in  his final resting place.

Paul and Crystal were members of the Hopalong Cassidy Fan Club for a number of years.   We would exchange messages now and then, so I feel like they are a part of my family.  My message to her family .. keep your arms around Crystal and let her share her memories of 66 years.  Love, Laura Bates

Uncle Paul was a great person and uncle.  I loved his sense of humor and great personality.  He will never be forgotten god rest his soul.

I will miss the times i spent with Grandpa Paul. We had many good conversations. He always has been a great person in my life. All the tractor rides and times at the flea market. May he rest in peace. I will miss him and i loved him very much.

Uncle Paul! What a.great person he was, some of the best times I ever had, was when I was young and I got to stay the weekends with my aunt and uncle. He would take us fishing most of the time in shanty on the ice that he made.i will always remember that.i believe it mad a better person of me. He will always be in my heart. I know my Uncle Paul was close to my Mom even thou she was 10 yrs older.  When she passed away in 2002, Uncle Paul and Aunt Cris were there with me and my siblings. They were deeply touched, as we all were with the way Mom reached upward with outstretched hand when it was time for her to meet our Savior.Just before U.Paul passed, I was told that he too reached out, and even called my Mom's name, and even my Dad's. As a child I used to spend time staying with my cousin at U. Paul's and A. Cris'.  I recall U. Paul took us to an old quarry where he showed me and his own kids how to fish. Another time soon after they had put the new top addition on to their "cellar" house, my cousin Linda had a sleep over. I was invited along with other girls.  We had to each put on a song or skit and A. Cris and U. Paul were the judges. I was nervous and didn't win, but it sticks in my memory.  I moved away when I got married, but would try to always fit in a visit to see U. Paul and A. Cris. He seemed so interested in what I was doing and in the places I had traveled. Although I never met you from an age that I can remember due to our miles apart, I am so glad I was able to talk to you on the phone. I keep my head up knowing I'll get to meet you some day in Heaven!

I'm so happy you are in Heaven now, rejoicing and free. I will always remember all the happy childhood memories I have and will think of you at peace in the big Garden! Love you and will miss you.

Paul-I will miss you. You were my "brother" and I loved you very much. You were always there for me and my childern when we needed you. We were best friends and shared many years together. I will watch over your loved ones until God calls me home. Be waiting at the gate for me-with the rest of the gang for a joyess reunion.

Mom (Goldie) and I will miss you most of all. You were family and we loved you dearly. There has never been a man as dear or kind and you deserve a special place in heaven. Don't worry about Aunt Chris/Linda/April. We will watch over them for you and keep them close. We will keep all of you in our prayers and daily thoughts. We love you Uncle Paul.

My Great Uncle Paul, how fitting is that title for you! I have been thinking a lot about you lately and I praise the Lord that I had the opportunity to see you so soon before you went home to be with Jesus. My fondest memories of you are our visits to your house for Thanksgiving dinner. There was always something magical and exciting about visiting your house. I can remember your very caring eyes staring down at me from behind your glasses, your head tilted back a little and a lot of the times you had a cigarette hanging from the corner of your mouth and you would ask "how you doing, young lady?" and give me a big warm hug. I moved away when I was 19 and our visits were few and far between from then on but you were always the same whenever I got to see you. You are  my Uncle Paul and I know I will see you again one day and get to hear you ask, "how you doing, young lady?" Aunt Chrystal and family, I love you so much! You are in my prayers. I remember you being with my sister Betty since I was a young child, I have such good memories of you and Paul.  What a wonderful couple.  May God bless you at this difficult time.  We send our love and deepest sympathy.

Heartfelt condolences to the entire Curtis Family.  A very nice man who always had time to "visit" and to provide a genuine smile.

Paul & Arda I send my condolences on the loss of your father. It's been a lot of years since we have seen each other but the loss off a father is a thing we share. Barb and I hope that life has treated you both well.

Every time I ran into Paul, he and Crystal would greet me with a smile.  The conversations started with inquiries about my family but  always ended with an update on Harold, Paul and LInda and their families and they make no apologies for the pride they felt.  Their collection of pictures at the Fishville Reunions would be the introduction to stories about growing up in Grass Lake and a lesson on local family history soon followed.  His enthusiasm for life will be missed .  My sympathies to the family.
