

Of Rives Junction passed away at his home under the care of his family on Thursday, October 10, 2013, at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joyce (Duty) Sexton, their seven children, Rick, Paul (Donna), James (Lisa,) Connie (Art) Ashworth, Linda Schupbach, Ron and Larry (Audrey); twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; seven siblings, Anna Mae, Russell, Marvin, Doris, Sandra, Roger and Easter as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Paul was the eldest son born to Willis and Hester Sexton in West Virginia. He left the coal mines as a young man and relocated to Jackson. He spent most of his working career operating heavy equipment, working alongside his brothers. He enjoyed an active life and was an avid outdoorsman. Mr. Sexton had a strong Faith in the Lord and a service honoring his life will be held at Trinity Wesleyan Church (620 Robinson Road 49203), on Monday, October 14, 2013 at 11:00a.m. with Reverend Vaughn Jensen officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8p.m. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The Sexton family would like to acknowledge the staff of Great Lakes Caring for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Church would be appreciated.
