Of Jackson, passed away at the age of 75, on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at her home under the loving care of her family. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Harry Chown; daughter, Kendra and her fiancé, Dennis Fletcher; grandchildren, Connor, Kayla and Carson; two great granddaughters, Danielle and Riley; sister-in-law, Cookie Chown as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Ted Sierminski. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Willis Ray Salyer, Burl (Edith) Salyer and Marvin (Eileen Salyer); three sisters, Lillie Mae (George) Carr; Levena (Steve) Allen and Sue (Bill Brown); brother-in-law, William Chown and sister-in-law, Kay Sierminski. Pauline was born in Stockbridge, Michigan on July 29, 1945 to Morgan and Flora (Craft) Salyer. She worked as a hairstylist and at Kellogg Industries also at Wendy’s before she decided to retire. She enjoyed refinishing furniture, stopping at garage sales, going to the Casino. Spending time with the grandchildren and great granddaughters were her greatest joy and she was the proudest of her grandsons. Pauline will be entombed at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends for visitation at Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (406 First Street, 49201) on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. In keeping with Covid-19 guidelines, visitors will be reminded to practice social distancing and wear a face covering.
