Phillip Andrew Lazaroff

Of Jackson, passed away June 6, 2016, age 62. Phil was born August 12, 1953 to Andy and Mary Lazaroff. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Kathy and Marilyn; and his baptismal brother, Mike. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Becky; his sons, Alex (Crystal) and Maxwell; his beloved grandchildren, Rylee, Elizabeth and Simon; his sister, Evelyn; and he also leaves behind, many dear friends, nieces, nephews, and his beloved dog, Sophie. Phil enjoyed cooking and he put those skills to use in many restaurants over the years. He and his wife owned and operated the Jackson Coney Island for eight years. He would say Coneys are the perfect food any time of the day. Phil enjoyed playing the guitar and drums and would say he always had a song in his head. Phil enjoyed doing projects; his latest was building a dollhouse for his granddaughters. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Rives Baptist Church, 2800 Berry Rd. Rives Junction on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Dyke Cyphers officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
