Of Hartford, AL. went home to be with our Lord January 26, 2012 under the loving care of her family and Gentiva Hospice, age 68. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Dothan, AL. Survived by her husband of 51 years Johnny, daughter in law Patty Cox, 2 granddaughters Jill Cox and Brandi Cox (Sean), 1 great grandson Bryce Fowler, 2 brothers, aunts, uncles, several nieces and nephews and many friends. Preceded in death by her 2 sons Willie and Johnny Jr. her parents Willie and Ossie Whitaker. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Wednesday February 1, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. Burial Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 6-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice.
