Princess Penny “Granny” Prough,

Of Jackson, MI passed away under the loving care of her family on February 10, 2020. She was born on September 17, 1949 to Curtis and Bell (Lovely) Armstrong. She married the love of her life Mark Prough in Jackson, MI. They were married for 37 years. Princess liked to race cars in her younger years and was an avid collector of angels and crosses and beanie babies. She loved flowers, shooting guns, and going to the casino. She is survived by her children Ronda (Craig) Snyder, Tammy Elledge, Lonnie Elledge, Crystal (Dave) Millican and Alice (Roy) Comfort; Joel (Kim) Prough and Matt (Bryn)Prough , grandchildren Nicholas Young, Chasidy Elledge, Nicole Snyder, David Helsel, Princess Millican, Kari Patton, Zoey Mercer, Meredith Prough, Gavin Prough, Aliyah Mcdowl, Dumarion Hawkins, Michael Comfort, Travis Comfort, Kyle Comfort and Savannah Comfort, Jenna Elledge and Destini Mcdowl, great grandchildren Haylei Hill, Matthew Hill, Skyler Hill, Miles Hill, Aubrey Young, Arianna Young, Brooke Young, Kacie Shoemaker, and Aiden Shoemaker; siblings Lillie Bice, Sharon Flint and Butch Armstrong; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mark; and Ed Clemons, Ernie Clemons, Ellamae Feldkamp, and Shirley Darbig. Family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, February 13, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for final expenses.
