Robert Brown Jr.

On July 21, 2011 Robert Brown Jr. went to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Anna Mae (Suggs) Brown Sr. and two brothers, Nathaniel and Mazor Brown as well as a sister, Linna Pearl Evans. Robert was born April 21, 1935 in Sallis, Mississippi. He is survived by five sons, George and Bearnard Brown of Jackson, Michigan, Clement (Linda) Brown of Detroit, Michigan, Corey Williams of Ontario, California, and Timothy (Debra) McCloyn of Lake Hills, Illinois; six daughters, Denise McAfee of Atlanta, Georgia., Kimberly McClyon, Doretha (Willie) Porter, Dana and Dawn Pryor all of Jackson, Michigan and Michelle Talbert of Lansing, Michigan; three sisters, Tilda Mae Rimmer of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Fannie Mae Anderson and Laurie Frizzel of Durrant, Mississippi; seventeen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered and never forgotten. A home going service is scheduled at the Oasis of Love Church, 1217 E. South Street, Jackson, on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 12:00 Noon with The Reverend Corey T. Pryor officiating. Family Hour from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. Mr. Brown will be laid to rest in Woodland Cemetery.
