Robert Lee DeForest Jr.

Of Clarklake, MI passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at his home under the care of his family. He is survived by three children, Rebecca DeForest, Marc DeForest and Lucas DeForest; grandchildren, Blake DeForest, Nicholas DeForest, and Aspen DeForest; sisters, Cheryl (Eddie) Beer and Laurie (Rob) Savageau; nephews, Michael Aberle, Derek Aberle, Devon Savageau, and Justin Savageau. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marilyn (Neill) DeForest and Robert DeForest Sr.

Robert was born on October 30, 1952 in Jackson, MI. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, softball and bowling. His favorite fishing hole was Whitefish Bay in Brimley, MI. Robert also loved to spend summers boating and fishing on Clarklake. Any other time, he was watching his favorite sports teams on TV and he was an avid Michigan fan. Robert will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Burden & Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home, (1806 E. Michigan Ave. Jackson, MI 49202). Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
