Of Pleasant Lake, MI, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the age of 69. He leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife, Debra Fairbanks; sons, Scott Fairbanks, Steven Fairbanks, Nicholas (Sara) Savoy and Matthew (Amanda) Savoy; grandchildren, Trevor and Alec Fairbanks; Ian, Emma, Avery and Noah Savoy; sister, Esther (Bruce) Swank; brothers, Lee (Eleanor) Fairbanks and William (Cheryl) Fairbanks. Bob was born in Grand Rapids, MI to Harold and Ann (Blouw) Fairbanks on April 22, 1947. He retired from Consumers Energy after 36 years, in 2005. He was an avid woodworker, enjoyed fishing, sports, back road traveling and NASCAR. A service honoring him will be held at Christ Episcopal Church of Pleasant Lake (9900 N. Meridian Rd. Pleasant Lake, MI 49277) on Monday, May 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ Episcopal Church “Operation Blessing” or to the Jackson Symphony Orchestra.
