

Of Jackson, Michigan returned to the Lord on Thursday, November 21, 2013. He was born on October 3, 1931 to Eddie and Lucy Lott in Canton, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and his wife of forty-two years, Mackielean Lott. The family moved to Jackson, Michigan in 1944. In 1950 Robert enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served as a Sergeant in the Korean War before being Honorably Discharged in 1954. He was employed with Clark Equipment Company until the company relocated to another state. He then became employed by the State of Michigan until his retirement. He is survived by eight children, Robert (Tracy) Lott of Oak Park, Michigan, Oswald (Shirley) Lott of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Pandora (Terry) Thomas of Jackson, Michigan, Victoria Lott of Oak Park, Michigan, Derek (Angela) Lott of Lansing, Michigan, Garry Williams of Southfield, Michigan, James Allen Williams of Lansing, Michigan, and Mark Williams of Jackson, Michigan; fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29, 2013 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Patience Montgomery Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Second Missionary Baptist Church. Family hour starts at 11:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 12:00 p.m., with Reverend Minnie Autry officiating. Interment Roseland Memorial Gardens.
