Robert Stead

Robert “Bob” Thomas Stead of Jackson passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022 at the age of 86. He was born April 12, 1936 to Franklin F. and Clara (Davis) Stead. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Luty and brothers, John Stead and Louie Stead. Bob is survived by several nieces and nephews as well as his loving “family” at the John George Home, where he resided since 2000. Bob loved everything John Deere and that showed throughout his room with his collections. He enjoyed mowing lawns, repairing and tinkering with lawn mowers. He liked drinking coffee, country music, CB radio and greeting guests at the John George Home. Bob was a simple, kind and good man and will be missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 5:00 PM at Clinton Road Bible Baptist Church (4401 Van Horn Road, Jackson, Michigan 49201) with Reverend Scott Castle of Pleasant Lake Baptist Church officiating. Private burial will take place at Pope Church Cemetery in Springport, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the John George Home. The family would like to thank Jackson County Guardian Services, John George Home, Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital Staff and the Hospice Home for taking great care of our Uncle Bob.
