Rosie May Vanhorn

Of Jackson, MI passed away on April 27, 2014 at the age of 78. Rosie was born on May 19, 1935 to Rosin and Estella P. Franklin in Dover, Tennessee. She worked as a waitress/ Manager at Win Schuler’s Restaurant for 40 years. She was an avid gardener, bowler and card player, fisherwoman extraordinaire, past president of F.O. E. Post #3634 Michigan Center, was a loving mother grandmother and great-grandmother. Rosie is survived by her husband; Charles “Chuck” Vanhorn, children; Henry Fisher, Michael (Jannette) Fisher, Candy (Robert) Newton, Melody (Donald) Osterholm, step-children; Charles (Amy) Vanhorn, Victor (PJ) Vanhorn, Frank Vanhorn , numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren , 13 siblings and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands; Henry Fisher Sr., Donald Ross, bother; Donald Cooper. A celebration of Rosie’s life will be held on Thursday May 1, 2014 at 11:00 A. M. at the funeral home with visitation being held on Wednesday April 30, 2014 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm. Rosie will be laid to rest at Rice Creek Cemetery.
