
Went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 15, 2013 at the age of 65, with his loving family by his side. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen Peters; daughter, Brenda Brenner; grandchildren, Nicole Pierce, Raymond (Elizabeth) Pierce and Brandon Hall; great grandson, Devian Franklin; father, Roy Peters; three sisters, Mary (Dave) Vollmar, Panzie (Billy) Bean and Jean (WaynE) Bower; mother and father in-law, Robert and Genevieve Emerson as well as many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends.He was preceded in death by his mother, Leona Peters; brother, Dearl Peters and son in-law, Timothy Brenner. After graduating from Stockbridge High School he served in the United States Army during Vietnam and was a loyal employee at Miller Tool & Die Company. He was a devoted family man; touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all that knew him. A service honoring his life will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene (3905 Clinton Rd. 49201) on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 12:00noon with Pastor Ken Garner officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00a.m. until the time of service, followed by military honors. The family would like to acknowledge caregivers, Tammie Pierce and Donna Samons for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s Associations.
