Of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at the age of 60. He was preceded in death by his father, Vern H. Kilgore. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Paul and Betty Salazar; siblings, Sylvester (Marty) Kilgore, Michael (Barb) Kilgore, Brenda (Howard) Flint, Nancy (Chester) Osborne, Deanna (Rich) Weiler, Donna Kilgore and Vern Kilgore Jr. as well several nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. Rusty was born in Jackson on August 19, 1954. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for 17 years as a jet engine mechanic and received many awards and certificates for his accomplishments. He loved fishing, hunting, camping and telling jokes. He touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at Chas. J. Burden & Son funeral home on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday evening from 4 to 8 P.M. He will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Military Honors.
