Sarah Francis Cain (Jankins),

Of Jackson, passed away in Lansing MI under the loving care of her family and Heartland Hospice on Friday, September 18, 2020 at the age of 71. Sarah was born in Rienzi, Mississippi to parents Robert and Nilla (Maze) Jankins on October 30, 1948. Sarah attended school in New Manrid, Missouri, where she met and fell in love with the late Robert Earl Cain. They married and from this union 9 children were born, they moved to Michigan in 1967. Where Sarah attend the Church of God in Jackson, where she accepted Christ at an early age. Sarah was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She was the queen of baking good old-fashioned Southern recipes. She loved to thrift shop and could spot a sale 10 miles away. She enjoyed reading and listening to gospel music. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 42 years. She spent her later days living in Norfolk, Virginia, where she will be laid to rest beside her late husband. She leaves to cherish her memory 9 children Tina (Terri) Cain-Williams, Cortez (Salena) Cain, Demetrius (Shana) Cain, Creighton (Kelly) Cain, Galen (Carey) Cain, Renia Cain, Javan (Melissa) Cain, Robert (Joanna) Cain, Jr., Caleb (Brandy) Cain, Isaac Cain, Jr., and Tavia White-Cain; 39 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; a sister Carolyn Cheatham of Ypsilanti MI; special cousin Sarah Shell; as well as a host of loving family members and friends. A Going Home Service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Cascades Church of God (1404 Rowan Street Jackson) with Minister J. Riggins officiating. Family will receive friends on Friday, September 25, 2020 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home and Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 11:00 AM until time of service.

I miss you calling me every morning at 6 am asking if I’m sleep still . Lol I’d be so mad for you waking me up n I probably just went to sleep I would do anything for that right now . You raised me from 3 years old I love you so much and miss you so much already . Your gone but you will NEVER be forgotten.
