The Lord called Steve home on August 24, 2014 at the age of 57 while visiting in Homosassa, FL. Steve graduated from Northwest schools in Jackson. He enjoyed keeping score for the City of Jackson Men’s and Women’s softball leagues in his earlier years. He had many friends and acquaintances; Steve NEVER met a stranger. Steve is survived by his mother, Esther Pratt of Homosassa, FL (formerly of Jackson); four sisters, Judith (Timothy) Dennerell of Muskegon, MI, Cheryl Pratt of Michigan Center, MI, Lisa Dotson (friend Timothy O’Shaunessy) of Jackson, and Nanette (Richard) Poole of Jackson, MI; foster brother, Tony (Donna) Bierschbach of New Smyrna Beach, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. William Gates, longtime family friend and pastor presiding. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 10:00 AM until time of service.
